Meng Qinglin Attends WCA Annual Conference 2026 and Conducts Business Activities in Thailand
Attending the World Cement Association (WCA) Annual Conference 2026

From 19th to 22nd April, the World Cement Association (WCA) Annual Conference 2026 was held in Bangkok, Thailand. The conference was attended by over 200 guests, including CEOs and senior executives from more than 30 countries and regions such as China, Germany, France, the UK, Turkey, South Africa, Morocco, Algeria, Thailand, and Papua New Guinea, alongside heads of international organizations and industry experts. Themed “New Industry Dynamics and Sustainable Development,” participants engaged in in-depth exchanges on the future of the cement industry.

Wei Rushan, President of WCA, Vice President of China National Building Material Group (CNBM), and President of CNBM Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech. Meng Qinglin, Chairman of Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd., attended the conference and held extensive discussions with clients from multiple countries.
In his keynote speech titled “Innovating Through Turbulence, Advancing Together in Change,” Wei Rushan thoroughly analyzed the challenges facing the global cement industry, including political multipolarity, geopolitical conflicts, climate pressures, technological competition, and downward economic pressures. He shared three key observations: the shifting center of gravity of the industry, the impact of post-war reconstruction, and breakthroughs in technological innovation. He called on the entire industry to embrace openness, cooperation, and practical innovation to drive sustainable transformation and achieve high-quality development amid challenges.
After the conference, Meng Qinglin had broad exchanges and in-depth talks with Philippe Richart, CEO of WCA, as well as clients from Algeria, South Africa, and other countries. He introduced Sinoma Energy Conservation’s recent developments and technological advances in clean energy, cement waste heat recovery, high-end equipment manufacturing, and building energy-saving materials.

Meng Qinglin noted that this conference took place at a time when the global cement industry is facing overcapacity, carbon tariff pressures, intensified geopolitical conflicts, and rising costs. As a listed company under CNBM focusing on energy conservation and environmental protection, Sinoma Energy Conservation possesses mature technology systems and rich engineering experience in waste heat and pressure utilization, green energy, and flue gas treatment. The company is also advancing R&D and project practices in carbon capture and alternative fuels, offering systematic solutions to the global cement industry. Sinoma Energy Conservation is committed to deepening cooperation with global partners to jointly promote green and low-carbon transformation.
Zhang Fei, Head of the International Market Department of the Engineering Branch of Sinoma Energy Conservation, delivered a special report titled “Application of Next-Generation Green Energy Technologies in Cement Plants.” He systematically introduced the company’s latest technological achievements in cement waste heat recovery, highlighting the “Fourth-Generation Waste Heat Recovery+” technology and typical cases, as well as prospects for future green energy and zero?electricity cement plants. The report attracted significant attention from attendees.
Clients from various countries expressed that Sinoma Energy Conservation’s technological strength and practical achievements in energy saving and carbon reduction for the cement industry are impressive. The latest waste heat recovery technology presented is now internationally advanced in terms of technical performance and automation, providing valuable references for factory upgrades and carbon reduction goals. They look forward to further cooperation with Sinoma Energy Conservation in waste heat recovery and emission reduction to jointly address industry challenges.
